The Challenge
In the company Motive.co we launched a new product for Prestashop eCommerce: Motiveco eCommerce Search. A search solution plugin for Prestashop online shops. After our soft launch campaign, one of our first growth targets was to reach 300 customers by the second half of 2022.
Our product was tested and validated in the market and we were ready to start growing, but we had an important limited integration scope: Our early releases were currently only available as a Prestashop plugin. We need to make them available in the major markets.
We decided to become an official Prestashop partner for our first two years. This would allow us to use their strength and community to open up markets, especially in Spain and the UK.
Implementation
We developed a joint marketing plan with various activities but mainly focused on awareness and new user acquisition.
My Contribution
My role was to negotiate and manage campaigns with Prestashop, providing them with all the relevant content, calendars and deadlines, as well as monitoring and controlling the performance achieved with them.
We ran campaigns such as:
- Generating blog articles with Prestashop International (awareness)
- Launching partner & add-on newsletters to the community to capture potential eCommerce opportunities
- Publish dedicated emails to offer a specific promotion and trial to Prestashop online shops in 3 International markets
- Joint participation in events, webinars and industry talks
Results
Awareness:
- Increase x3 Traffic (AddOns Marketplace) Plugin Page views
- 47,5% Conversion Rate (plugin page view to plugin download)
Acquisition:
- 125% Growth first year (plugin downloads)
- 80% conversion rate (downloaded plugin to free trial and setup)
- 20% CPL costs reduced
Engagement:
- Overall email open rate 36%
- Click on CTA 45% (CTR)
- Overall CTA 2,1% (CTR)
- Best CTA Performance in UK (6%) and PT (20%) (CTR)
